As the co-founder of moveon.org, momsrising.org, and Living Room Conversations, Joan Blades is a progressive activist whose mission these days is to bridge strengthening political divides. She made headlines when she hosted a Living Room Conversation with Mark Meckler, a co-founder of the Tea Party movement.
